Aims & Methods of the Boy Scouts of America

The Scouting program has three specific objectives, commonly referred to as the "Aims of Scouting." 

The Aims of Scouting are:

Character Development
Citizenship Training
Personal Fitness

The 8 “Methods of Scouting” are the means by which the “Aims of Scouting” are achieved.

The Methods of Scouting are listed below in no particular order to emphasize the equal importance of each:
