This is the internet home of Troop 109, Boy Scouts of America. We are chartered to the Millbury Federated Church, located in central Massachusetts and served by the Mohegan Council, BSA of Worcester, MA. Above you can see our Troop logo, with Troop 109’s slogan “Mohegan Finest.” This slogan signifies our ongoing efforts to do our best in all of our endeavors, not only within the local scouting community, but nationally and worldwide. The scouts and adult leaders of Troop 109 take pride in carrying on this tradition of scouting excellence.

As Scouting's founder, Sir Baden Powel believed: Scouting is a GAME with a PURPOSE. The GAME is in everything the program offers, starting with the outdoor program, and including rank/merit badge advancement, the patrol method and leadership development. The PURPOSE is to develop young men into leaders with:

• strong character
• good citizenship
• all-round physical and mental fitness

As a Scout in Troop 109, you can expect an exciting program of boy led and directed activities, offered on a regular basis, with a focus on advancement, community service, and living the Scout Oath and Law. Our activities will challenge a scout in all areas of life, both mentally and physically. It is hoped that each scout will take advantage of as many of these opportunities as possible.
